Figures from the official Hermes Agent Docker documentation, checked 2026-10-17. The data volume is the mounted ~/.hermes directory, not the system disk. The official docs also require a model with at least a 64K context window; you supply your own model API key.
What's in the kit
- Server sizing guide: the minimum and recommended specs from the official Hermes Agent (Nous Research) documentation, in one table, with which size to choose for which use (see the table above).
- Deploy script: a Docker Compose based install script that checks your OS and Docker versions, fetches the pinned official code or images, generates the config files and starts the services.
- Health-check script: run it after install to check container status, ports and whether the service responds, and to point you to the right section of the manual if something fails.
- Troubleshooting manual: common errors organised by symptom, with the cause and the fix (port already in use, out of memory, image pull failures, permission errors and more).
- README: step-by-step instructions from a fresh server to a working web page, plus how to upgrade, back up and uninstall.
Versions and supported systems
- Pinned versions: the scripts are pinned to the upstream stable release current when the kit is built; the README states the exact version and the build date. As of 2026-10-18, the latest Hermes Agent (Nous Research) release is v0.22.2.
- Supported OS: Ubuntu 22.04 / 24.04 and Debian 12 (64-bit, x86_64 or aarch64).
- Network: the server needs outbound access to Docker Hub, where the official nousresearch/hermes-agent image is published. The kit can install Docker from the Aliyun or Tencent Cloud mirror of the Docker apt repository, and you can set your own container registry mirror (note: Aliyun's registry accelerator has only worked for Aliyun users on Aliyun products since 2024-07-02).
- Delivery: after payment you download a zip archive; the download link is sent to the email address you used at checkout.
Licensing
The kit uses the official open-source code of Hermes Agent (Nous Research) under its own license (MIT); the source is in the official repository. We sell the packaging, scripts and documentation, not the software itself, and we do not change its license terms. AgentComm is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Hermes Agent (Nous Research) project or its authors.
Not included
- The server, domain name and any third-party API fees (for example LLM API keys). You buy and own these yourself.
